  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 (3 ounce) packages ramen noodles
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon cracked red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce and cornstarch; then add beef broth, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  2. Boil water and cook ramen noodles for 2-3 minutes; drain and toss with sesame oil.
  3. In a nonstick skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat; season steak with salt and pepper before cooking until browned.
  4. Steam broccoli in the same skillet for about 2 minutes until bright green.
  5. Add steak and ramen to the skillet; pour in the sauce and stir for another 1-2 minutes until everything is well-coated.
