  • 1/4 cup caster sugar for topping
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted for topping)
  • 1/4 cup icing sugar for glaze
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare an 8-inch round cake pan by greasing and lining it.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Fold in chopped apples.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, vanilla extract, oil, and yogurt until combined.
  4. Combine wet and dry mixtures gently until just mixed; pour into the prepared pan.
  5. For the topping, mix sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter; sprinkle over the batter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
  7. Make the glaze by mixing icing sugar with milk until smooth; drizzle over the cooled cake.
