  • 1 large egg
  • 2 pounds ground beef and pork (1 lb each)
  • 1 cup dried Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • Garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, salt, pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the egg, parsley, oregano, salt, pepper, minced garlic, water, tomato paste, ground meats, breadcrumbs, and half of the cheese. Mix until just combined and shape into meatballs.
  2. Heat butter in a skillet and brown the meatballs on all sides before removing them from the pan.
  3. Sauté onions and garlic in the same skillet until fragrant. Add marinara sauce and sugar; stir well. Gradually mix in heavy cream.
  4. Return meatballs to the sauce and simmer until cooked through.
  5. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and toss in the creamy sauce.
