  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ranch dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, salt, and pepper. Adjust consistency with milk if needed.
  2. Mix flour, cornmeal (if using), garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in one bowl. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk.
  3. Dip each mushroom slice into the egg mixture and then coat with the flour mixture. Let them rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry mushrooms in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
