  • 4 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup warmed whole or 2% milk (to 110°F)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • Flaky sea salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a lightly buttered 9×13 pan.
  2. Melt butter with minced garlic in a small pot; let cool.
  3. In a stand mixer bowl, combine flour, parsley, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add milk, egg, and cooled garlic butter; knead until smooth (10–12 minutes).
  4. Shape dough into 12 equal balls and place in the pan. Cover and let rise until doubled (1–2 hours).
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Brush risen rolls with beaten egg wash.
  6. Bake for 20–30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, melt remaining butter with garlic; brush on hot rolls.
