Greek Meatballs, or Keftedes, are a savory delight that brings the essence of the Mediterranean to your dining table.   • 1 lb ground lamb (or beef/turkey)
  • ¼ cup grated onion
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, grated onion, minced garlic, and all seasonings (salt, pepper, oregano, cumin, coriander, and Italian seasoning). Mix until blended.
  2. Add in the egg, breadcrumbs, and parsley; mix again until fully incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into tablespoon-sized balls.
  4. For frying: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook meatballs for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. For baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C), place meatballs on a lined baking sheet, and bake for 15–18 minutes.
