  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 6 strips cooked bacon
  • 4 slices Texas toast
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Brush halved jalapeños with olive oil and roast for 15 minutes until charred; let cool.

  4. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Spread half the cream cheese mixture on unbuttered sides.
