  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Thick slices of French or Italian bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and spread garlic butter on each slice of bread. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake bread for 8-10 minutes until golden. Set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter over medium heat; add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Season shrimp with salt and pepper; add to skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink; remove from skillet.
  5. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and white wine (or chicken broth). Simmer for 1-2 minutes, then stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes until smooth.
  6. Return shrimp to skillet; toss to coat in sauce. Garnish with parsley and serve warm with garlic bread.
