  • 365 g warm water (2 ½ cups + 1 tbsp)
  • 125 g active sourdough starter (½ cup)
  • 6 g sea salt (1 tsp)
  • 25 g everything bagel seasoning (2½ tbsp)
  • 500 g bread flour (4 cups)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and active sourdough starter until well mixed. Add sea salt and stir until dissolved.
  2. Gradually mix in bread flour using a dough scraper or spatula, then sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top.
  3. Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic; shape into a ball.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise at room temperature for about 4 hours or until doubled in size.
  5. Gently punch down risen dough, shape it into your desired loaf form, and let it rise again on parchment paper for another 30-60 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C), bake the loaf for approximately 40 minutes until golden brown.
