  • 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/3 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder, optional
  • 1/3 – 1/4 cup water
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha sauce, adjust to taste
  • 1' fresh ginger, finely minced
  • 4-5 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 2-3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • sesame seeds
  • spring onions, chopped
  • sliced chilis

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder (if using), and water until smooth. Coat cauliflower florets in the mixture.
  3. Spread coated florets on a baking sheet, drizzle with oil, and bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  4. While baking, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sriracha sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, honey or maple syrup, cornstarch, and water in another bowl.
  5. Once the cauliflower is baked and crispy, combine it with the sticky sauce in a pan over medium heat for an additional 2-3 minutes until coated and heated through.
