  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 32 Ounces Beef Broth
  • 1/2 Cup Ricotta
  • 32 Ounces Marinara Sauce
  • 14 Ounces Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
  • 1" Parmesan Rind
  • 2 Cups Lasagna Noodles (broken)
  • 1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • Garlic Bread (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. In a heavy-bottomed pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and onion; sauté until translucent (3-5 minutes).
  2. Stir in minced bell pepper, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper; cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef and brown thoroughly; drain excess grease.
  4. Incorporate ricotta cheese if desired, then add beef broth, marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, and parmesan rind.
  5. Allow to simmer for at least 30 minutes to deepen flavors.
  6. In the last 15 minutes of cooking, add broken lasagna noodles; cook until tender.
  7. Serve in oven-safe bowls topped with mozzarella cheese; broil until cheese is golden and bubbly.
