  • 1 packet dry yeast (or ½ cube fresh yeast)
  • 100 g sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 50 g vegan butter
  • 250 ml plant-based milk (such as soy or oat)
  • 60 g vegan butter (for filling)
  • 60 g sugar (for filling)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 100 g powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp plant-based milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour and yeast. Add sugar and salt; combine well.
  2. Incorporate vegan butter in small pieces. Gradually add plant-based milk while kneading until smooth.
  3. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes until doubled.
  4. Melt additional vegan butter for the filling, mix with sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle. Spread the filling evenly on top and roll tightly from the long side; cut into 12 pieces.
  6. Place on a lined baking tray and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 180°C for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with plant-based milk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled rolls.
