  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease baking pans.

  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter and eggs until fluffy. Gradually mix in dry ingredients along with milk and vanilla extract until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow cakes to cool before cutting into small pieces for layering in jars.
  6. Prepare buttercream by beating salted butter with powdered sugar and vanilla; add food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
  7. Layer chocolate cake pieces with green buttercream in jars, finishing with sprinkles and fondant decorations.
